About Me

I have worked in IT for over 25 years in a variety of roles including PC and Mainframe Application Support, Technical Project Management, Network Infrastructure Design and Infrastructure Provision Consultancy.

Since taking the opportunity to leave full time employment via voluntary redundancy, I split my time between Freelance Contract and Voluntary IT work.

I pride myself on being able to communicate with my clients avoiding or explaining jargon and ensuring understanding. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with both clients and colleagues.

My professional career since becoming Freelance has allowed me to move from Management and Design to fully hands on which I find extremely satisfying. See Contract Work page for detail.

Voluntary work includes providing regular one to one IT Coaching and Mentoring at a Community Centre, in particular complete beginners PC, Windows and Internet. I also provide Web Content editing for Pure 107.8FM a Stockport based community radio station.
